Q Up a Trip to the Beach!

Hello, and Happy Friday!

Today I have a card highlighting a tricky palette from The ColourQ and a fun theme from The Paper Players.  Even though my nephew Ethan is getting older, this stamp will always remind me of him. Perhaps because a few years back, we went to Myrtle Beach together.  Fun times!  All supplies are from Stampin' Up!

My card base is indigo island, and I added 2 squares of more mustard pattern paper.  The main image is from "Summer by the Sea." I stamped with Stazon jet black, then used my blender pen to color the image.  I added creamy caramel for his skin.  The sky is sponged with coastal cabana, and the image is mounted on it as well.  A bit of poppy parade ribbon and hostess pattern paper go with his shirt.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, punched with the word window, and layered on a scallop oval.  I also added some bakers twine...love this stuff!

This was a lot of fun to make...unexpected colors with a favorite theme...The Beach!  Sigh... I live in central Illinois. No beach here.  LOL

Thanks for stopping by!

  4. That stamp is so sweet - very restful I think. I never thought of a beach scene but they are the perfect colours for it aren't they? Thanks for playing along at Colour Q!
